Idea ID 4000 3G Smartphone With 4-Inch Display, Dual-Core CPU Launched in India at Rs 4,999
India's leading mobile operator Idea today launched its latest 3G-enabled handset in the country. The Id 4000 3G Smartphone is priced at Rs. 4,999, and will be available in Idea's 3G markets across 11 circles. The country's third largest network operator has already sold over 7 lakh devices from its earlier range of 3G smartphones.
The Idea Id 4000 3G Smartphone will come with a special offer for Idea 3G users offering 3G data benefits of 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 259 for existing subscribers, and 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 261 for new subscribers.

"Our strategy of proliferating data services through the sale of affordable 3G smartphones has worked well for us, and hence we will continue to build on our devices portfolio.
A large base of Indian consumers want affordable, yet, feature rich smartphones to experience 3G and mobile internet. !d 4000 will address this demand in the market and enable 2G users to upgrade to 3G in our key 3G markets," Mr. Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular, said, in an official statement.
The new dual-SIM Idea ID 4000 smartphone has a 4-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320x480 pixel, a 1GHz dual-core processor, Android Jelly Bean OS, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of on-board storage, a microSD card slot, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and a 1500mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device included are 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth 4.0, amongst others.
The new budget 3G phone from Idea is now available across 11 circles - Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh , Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (E) and Uttar Pradesh (W).
