Intel Launches MICA Smart Bracelet With 1.6 Inch Curved OLED Display
Unveiled at the time of IFA 2014 in September, Intel has now launched its first wearable device called MICA. The abbreviation that stands for "My Intelligent Communication Accessory" is in fact a fashionable bracelet which would cost buyers a massive $495. The new luxury bracelet is set to hit the market just ahead of Christmas.

The device is designed by one of the New York-based fashion retailers - Opening Ceremony and engineered by Intel. Also, this is one of the first wearable device that is fashion centric.
The bracelet employs a 1.6 inch Curved OLED screen and comes with an AT&T Sim card, complete with data and SMS messages, paid for two years.
The sapphire display featuring MICA also comes fine-tuned with a snake skin body laden with semi-precious stones and pearls. Precisely, the MICA smart bracelet is meant exclusively for women and it features the precious metal and stone with 18K gold coating. Apart from this the device comes with an inbuilt SIM card, 3G radio, a GPS chip, and integration with TomTom and Yelp.
You can also use the wearable accessory to write and send messages, set calendar and event notifications, respond with customizable messages, sync with Google and Facebook and access Yelp search/ratings for your favorite recreation areas be it shopping malls or restaurants.

The device allows you to set a VIP contacts list from which you will get push notifications to the bracelet. It also features remote-locking and location tracking. MICA has an anticipated battery life of two days and can be recharged wirelessly with the Intel Charging Bowl announced earlier this year. The wearable will be available in December at Barney's and Opening ceremony's online and retail stores. However, it is not sure, whether the company will launch the latest wearable device in Asian market including India or not.
