Intex Aqua Curve Launched Officially With 5 Inch qHD OGS at Rs 12,490
India based smartphone vendor, Intex has already launched several budged friendly smartphones in the domestic market earlier this month. Yet again, the company has officially released its latest Aqua Curve smartphone in the market today at Rs. 12,490.
Intex also released its first cost effective octa core smartphone earlier this month called the Aqua Octa at an unbelievable price of Rs. 19,999.

However, the latest one, Aqua Curve is not as expensive as the Aqua Octa but falls in a mid-range category with a decent specs. The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a black cobblestone back panel with Baby Skin painting in 3 vibrant colors: Red, Blue and Black.

The Intex Aqua Curve comes with a 5-inch qHD capacitive touch screen OGS (One-glass-Solution) curved display offering a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels.
Powering the handset is a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system.
Moving on to the camera segment, the smartphone features an 8MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing shooter as well.
Connectivity options remain regular with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS support. Additionally it is a dual SIM (dual standby) handset, similar to most of the other Intex smartphones.
The Aqua Curve houses an internal storage capacity of 4GB of which only 1.7GB is user accessible memory. However, the 32GB supported micro SD card slot comes in handy with the device.
The smartphone which measures 9.1 thick and weighs 152 grams is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. According to the company, the battery will offer a talktime of 4.5 hours along with a standby time of 180 hours.
Additionally, the phone comes loaded with features like Shake Screenshot, Air Gesture for music, Look Away, Voice Recognition, Flip to Mute and Wireless display.
The company boasts of Rs. 1069 crore of turn-over in the financial year 2012-13, growing at a CAGR of 26.25% over the last 5 financial years. As of now Intex has been ranked 76, amongst the 200 fastest growing IT companies in India by Dataquest 2013.
Competition
In terms of competition, the latest Aqua Curve will compete with number of domestic as well as international smartphones. Among other, Micromax Canvas 4, Karbonn S5 Titanium, Xolo Q1000, Micromax Canvas Doodle 2, Spice Pinnacle FHD Mi-525, Lenovo A850, Huawei Ascend G610 would be the most prominent contestants.
