Intex Aqua Style: 5.9-inch Karbonn A30 Phablet Rival Spotted Online at Flipkart

Smartphones with large displays are flavor of the season. Even a screen size measuring 4.3-inches looks pity in comparison to gigantic 6-inch slabs. In the recent days, many India-based handset manufacturers have proven that large display phone sells in good numbers.

Many established players, including, Micromax, Karbonn and others have come up with phablets. There were few new entrants as well, who ventured into phablets, for instance- Swipe Telecom (MTV Volt). Intex smartphones aren't as popular as Micromax or Lava, however in a recent developmet, the manufacturer is set to launch a phablet with display size of 5.9-inches. Reportedly, dubbed as Intex Aqua Style, the new device has been spotted on company's website and also online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam.

Intex Aqua Style - A giant phone with 5.9-inch display

Intel Aqua Giant will boast a giant 5.9-inch WVGA display, powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS),1GHz Dual core Cortex- A9 processor , 512MB of RAM , an 8-mega pixel rear camera with LED flash(Auto Flash) and 1.3-mega pixel front facing camera for long video chat, 1GB of internal memory ( expandable via micro SD cards) and 2500 battery. Intex Aqua Style supports Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, 720p HD video recording, Bluetooth 4.0, 228.4 grams weight and A-GPS. As of now, nothing can be said about its release date and exact pricing.

Intex Aqua Style vs. Karbonn A30

India is slowly and gradually adopting large display smartphones. Which is a good thing, largely thanks to Indian handset manufacturers, who analyze global trends carefully and quickly adopts it by launching handsets much earlier than big international brands. It is also expected that Huawei could launch Ascend Mate 6.0, in the Indian market very soon.

Karbonn A30 comes with a large 5.9-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, 1GHz Dual core processor , 512MB of RAM, an 8-mega pixels rear camera and 1.3-mega pixels front facing camera, 2500mAh battery, 3G, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, Bluetooth, Android 4.0 ICS, expandable memory via Micro SD cards and measures 260 grams. The device is made up from plastic and does not come with scratch resistant glass, making screen prone to scratches.

It is to be seen, how Intex Aqua Style, fairs in the highly competitive market like India. Byond Phablet PII is yet another challenger that features a 5.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels, which is on a higher side in comparison to Intex Aqua Style and Karbonn A30. The Byond Phablet P2 is priced at around Rs.14, 999 in the market. The Karbonn A30 sells for Rs. 11,990.
