Intex Aqua Style Smartphone Launched At Rs 5,990 With Tollywood Star Sudeep As Brand Ambassador

Intex may not be that big a name in Indian market at the moment, but the company is doing all it can to establish itself firmly in the market. And the most successful way of doing that is by releasing smartphones at regular intervals. The company, currently, is doing just that.

Today, at a launch event held in Bangalore, Intex launched its brand new Aqua Style smartphone with a more than affordable price tag of Rs. 5,990. The smartphone, needless to say, falls in the budget category with the segment already a big thing in India.

But the new smartphone launch isn't the only big news out of the company. Apparently, Intex has signed Tollywood megastar Sudeep on a one year deal to become the brand ambassador for the company.

With the deal now in place, Sudeep will be seen in the company's television commercials besides being the face of the company on a series of brand activations across Karnataka.

Apart from running the brand new Google-based Android KitKat OS, the Aqua Style sports a 4-inch WVGA IPS display with 800x480 pixel resolution. The dual SIM supported handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor that's backed 1GB of RAM and 4GB of on-board memory.

The handset also offers a primary 5MP snapper at the rear with flash, alongside a 2MP front facing camera unit to help you in all your selfies and video chat. The device is further expandable upto 32GB with support for 3G network as well.

The handset is juiced by a 1400mAh battery unit, while connectivity options include 3G, dual SIM (WCDMA 3G + GSM) support, Bluetoothm Wi-fi and FM radio and a host of pre-loaded games and apps.

The phone is available in two premium colors - White and Black. The handset also comes with a free flip cover at a price of just Rs. 5,990 /- the phone can easily be purchased from Intex retail stores, hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across India.
