Intex i-Buddy Connect 2 3G: 7 inch, Single SIM Voice Calling Tablet Launched At Rs 7,500
The 4G LTE connectivity is yet to take off in India, but our Indian tech vendors are busy churning 3G voice calling tablets on a regular basis. The latest entrant is Intex, known for Aqua range of smartphones.
The India based tablet maker has come up with i-Buddy Connect 2 3G, the first report was carried by FoneArena. This new version is a successor to i-Buddy Connect 3G. If you are anxious to buy i-Buddy Connect 2 3G, then purchase can be possible via ShopClues. The device is available at Rs. 7,500 in the Indian market.
The i-Buddy Connect 2 3G is an ordinary looking tablet with basic configuration. It has a 7-inch capacitive touch display having resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Android 4.0 ICS comes out of the box. There's a 2-mega pixel rear facing camera and VGA quality front facing camera on the front. The ROM stands at 4GB, however, consumers can expand internal memory up to 32GB via microSD card. The makers have added a 3000mAh Li Ion battery.
The Connect 2 3G comes with single SIM facility with 3G voice calling enabled. The tablet supports 3G/2G connectivity, while 3G dongle connectivity is absent. Other highly noticeable features include: Wi-Fi, GPS, Full HD video viewing support, USB 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack. While in the name of connectivity, the makers have added everything except Bluetooth connectivity. Even HDMI port is missing.
Intex is offering free pre-loaded apps such as Facebook , Nimbuzz, Skype, Gtalk , Yahoo Messenger as well. Consumers can download games directly from Google Play Store.
At the end, it can be said that -iBuddy Connect 3G was far better version due to dual SIM 3G facility and 1GB of RAM. Intex would have called i-Buddy Connect 3G Mini instead of connect II 3G. Intex is yet to communicate exact release date and price of i-Buddy Connect 2 3G. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
