Intex Launches Aqua Star with 5-Inch Display, 8MP Camera At Rs 6,990
Intex has today officially launched the Aqua Star smartphone in India at a Goa-based event. Also the company launched two others the Aqua Star Power and Aqua Star HD at the same event. All are powered by Google Android KitKat OS.
Talking about the Aqua Star, it is priced at Rs. 6,990 and comes in Black and White color options. As of now, Intex and Celkon have been two of the smartphone makers that have been jostling with each other in the Rs. 7,000 range market.
However, the Android One powered devices by Spice, Micromax and Karbonn that were launched a couple of weeks ago have also become a risk to the segment. Anyways, lets take a look at the specs of the Aqua Star smartphone.

Intex Aqua Star: Key Specifications
The Intex Aqua Star comes with a 5-inch IPS full laminated display offering an FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android KitKat v4.4.2 OS.
In terms of camera, the smartphone uses an 8MP rear camera with Auto focus and a 2MP front facing shooter as well.
Internal storage capacity seats at 8GB but it can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. In terms of connectivity options, users will get to see 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and obviously it is a dual SIM handset. It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
Intex has also pre-loaded several apps in the phone including Matrabhasha, Intex Play, Intex Games Club, NewsHunt, Zapak, OLX, Opera Mini and Xender.
If you take a closer look at the specs, you will surely find a very identical specs to that we have seen in Android powered devices.
Thus, it is sure that the latest smartphone from Intex will have to battle all the three Android One devices which was also recently launched in India.
