Taking the fight against Celkon, which had promised to be the number one smartphone maker in the low-end category, Intex has been releasing a number of devices off late in the country.

The Hyderabad-based smartphone maker has now released a new device under the Aqua series. Dubbed as Aqua X, the latest budget device is available from eBay. The Intex Aqua X comes in black and white colors and is priced for Rs. 4,890.

Intex Aqua X: Key Specifications

The Intex Aqua X come with a 4.5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU and is complemented by 512MB RAM.
It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS and the smartphone houses 4GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Intex Aqua X offers an 8MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper for making video calls and taking selfies.

The handset uses 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS as a connectivity options. Moreover, it is a Dual SIM smartphone with a Dual Standby mode.

The 8.9mm thick Intex Aqua X comes powered by a 1500 mAh battery.

The latest offering from Intex is not as good as the Android One devices. In fact, it fails to use the higher RAM clock. This could be a bit of a problem for the company to sell it in the market. However, considering the price of the handset, it has a fair chance to beat other devices from the local vendors.
