Few more hours to go, and then Apple will unveil the much anticipated iPad 5, as well as an iPad Mini 2. Like any other Apple centric event, it is natural to see the latest gossip floating around the expected devices.

In case of Apple's forthcoming iPads, Mingchi Kuo of KGI securities now believes that the iPad 5 will not launch with the TouchID fingerprint sensor. Even the iPad Mini 2 won't have same speculated feature. Since past few days, it was mentioned many times through various reports that Apple will indeed announce new iPads with a fingerprint sensor, just like the iPhone 5S.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, is credited for predicting Apple devices, before they hit the retail outlets. Kuo also predicted the coming of Gold iPhone 5S, the TouchID fingerprint scanner, and the discontinuation of iPhone 5 from the market. Moreover, the analyst also predicted that Apple will make iPad Mini 2 official by using a Retina Display.

Currently, the street is abuzz with rumors of Apple not using a Retina Display because of some production issues. Expect the Apple iPad Mini 2 to be slightly thicker than its predecessor. The iPad Mini 2 would have a Retina Display having a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, adds Kuo in his key note to investors. The report further says that the mini version of iPad would have A7-64bit chipset used in the current generation iPhone 5S.

Talking about the iPad 5, it will be 20% lighter and thinner than the iPad 4. It will also have same narrow bezel design as iPad Mini. The new iPad 5 is also said to have an 8-megapixel rear facing camera with larger aperture.

Both the upcoming iPads may not be available with celebrated Gold color. Further, neither the iPad 5 nor the iPad Mini 2, will use a fingerprint sensor, as Apple wants to keep this very technology limited to the iPhone 5S.

Apple will announce the updated iPads on October 22, in US based event. On the same day, Nokia will announce its first 6-inch phablet alongside a new tablet. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
