iPhone 5C 16GB Now Available Online At Rs 36,899: Official Price Cut Coming from Apple?

Last month, Apple's CEO Tim Cook admitted that sales of the iPhone 5c represented a smaller mix of total handset sales than his company anticipated. What went wrong exactly? Analysts believe that the iPhone 5C, which was initially thought to break Samsung's monopoly in the emerging nations, priced far too high in countries like India.

Although Apple hasn't announced price cut on the iPhone 5C yet; however, the 16GB of the device is available at a discounted price of Rs 36,899 on Amazon.in. It should be noted that the 32GB version of iPhone 5C is not available on discount. Therefore, the price cut may be temporary in wake of Valentine's Day. It's a temporary sale price offered on a particular product.

Originally, Apple launched the iPhone 5C in November at a price point of Rs. 41,990. Being a mid-ranger, the device has been priced way beyond common man's pocket.

This month, the Cupertino-based giant announced a new EMI scheme for the iPhone 5C. As a part of the deal, Apple will offer a minimum of Rs. 5,000 in exchange for any smartphone, but it should in working condition.

Additionally, users will be able to able to purchase an iPhone 5C by paying an initial installment of Rs 9,990 for the 16GB model and Rs 21,590 for the 32GB model, followed by Rs 3,150 every month for a period of 9 months.

For the first time, Apple has used a polycarbonate plastic body to produce the iPhone 5C. The phone is made from high-quality plastic and has a 4-inch Retina Display. The device is powered by A6 mobile chipset. There's an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a much improved HD ready camera on the front. The makers have added a large size battery fitted inside. The phone runs latest iOS 7 mobile OS.
