There are whispers about affordable iPhone, iPad Mini going around the web. Since past year, Apple is negotiating with leading manufacturers based out in Far East. In the coming days, Apple could announce iPhone 5S with better processor. The Cupertino-based giant is believed to be working on low cost iPhone.
The sales of iPhone in the emerging markets are increasing with time - thanks to the EMI schemes. The introduction of affordable iPhone would give Apple a chance to fight against Samsung, the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer. At the same time next-gen iPad Mini is also on a way. Earlier it was reported that iPad Mini 2 is not coming before October.
Now according to Digitimes, Apple is thinking to announce low cost iPhone along with next-gen iPad Mini around August. The report further says that Pegatron has apparently got the orders to make affordable iPhone. The phone will be manufactured by using plastic chassis. On the other hand, the same manufacturer would be making iPad Mini as well.
"The upstream supply chain will start shipping components for the new iPad mini and iPhone in July and players such as chassis supplier Casetek are expected to strongly benefit from the orders."
Apart from the above mentioned products, Apple is also pushing its energies to fasten up things when I come to iPad 5 and next-gen iPhone. It is reported (again via Digitimes) that once again Foxconn is set to make next-gen iPhone and iPad 4 sequels. Both devices will be made available in 2014. By next-generation could mean either iPhone 5S or iPhone 6. Well, Apple annually updates its iPad lineup. The report, however, says that a 9.7-inch iPad will be announced next year. That means, the tech giant won't announce neither next-gen iPhone nor iPad this year.
Yesterday, Reuters reported that Apple is keen to launch two bigger screen iPhones next year. This year the company could announce iPhone 5S, a sequel to iPhone 5. The report informs that iPhone 5S is being planned with in-built fingerprint sensor. It should be announced later this year. There's another iPhone with plastic casing too. Stay tuned to GizBot.
