Is Asus teasing Metallic Style PadFone 3 On Facebook?
What is the similarity between hard rock, heavy metal and Asus metallic device? If Asus is going Gaga about ‘metal' that means their upcoming press announcement has something related to AC/DC. Well, Barcelona is not known for heavy rock music. Isn't it? It would be better to assume that they are indeed planning to reveal a metal styled device.
All right, the company is trying to give us a blur clue, still it is foggy. Asus has posted a new picture of its upcoming device on its official Facebook account, stating, "Day two of MWC teasers here at ASUS. It's.....a button!."
It is known that the company has plans to announce the next iteration to mega successful PadFone 2. By large, it looks like the premium successor device will now come with aluminum metallic body. Is Asus hiding PadFone 3? Let's dig into the story.

Asus PadFone 3 - Another metallic device in the making
In 2007, Apple iPhone changed the ergonomics of design. It was a smartphone crafted with bold aluminum moves. This year, HTC One, became instant hit because of its serene metallic body. So, Asus also planning to launch something similar to what other manufacturers are doing to differentiate themselves.
Asus has teased power button of its upcoming device. And it appears to be a metallic one. By showing a button crafted with metal itself signals that the device all together made from some premium material. The beauty is not out yet, one has to wait until MWC starts.
Many believe that the device could be a Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone. It could be, but chances are little. If this device is the Asus PadFone 3 then by any means, it's running Android Jelly Bean. Generally, WP8 devices come in plastic styled body (through they have high quality) and on the top of it differentiates with colorful architecture. Nokia had gone for unibody polycarbonate design for Lumia 920 and ditto with HTC. It is unlikely that this teased image hints at WP8 device.
Asus PadFone series - Significant to Asus, In general
The original PadFone didn't tasted success, but its successor has finally proven a worthy investment for Asus. Recently, a Taiwanese supplier buzzed that the makers of Eee PC, has managed to sell over 1 million units of PadFone 2. The device had a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5-Ghz QUAD Core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 13-mega pixel camera, 2130mAh battery, and other fantastic features. The device sells along with a 10.1-inch tablet. This unique tablet-cum-smartphone combo has some ardent fan following around the world.
