Be it Samsung, Micromax, Lava or Celkon all major smartphone brands which dominate the budget market category in India have launched an array of Android KitKat affordable smartphones in the recent past.
It seems like Karbonn, was waiting for all its competitors to throw their dices in the competition arena and now finally the home-grown manufacturer has come up with its pawns to dent the market.
Yes, Karbonn has officially announced two of its latest devices called A1+ Super and A5 Turbo in the Indian market at the remarkable price of Rs. 3,490 and Rs. 3,290 respectively. Out of which, the A1+ Super is already selling via third party online retailer eBay at an online discounted price of Rs. 3,302.
What about specifications? Since the price of these devices are super low, expect not much power and hardware but what you get is the KitKat OS and a decent 3.5 inch display along with a camera at least. These two latest devices from Karbonn will definitely rival against Celkon's A35K smartphone which got launched recently and is the cheapest Android KitKat phone available in India at a price of Rs. 2,999.
Karbonn A1+ Super: Key Specifications
Karbonn A1+ Super comes with a 3.5-Inch HVGA Capacitive Touch Screen display,comes powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual Core Processor and runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It also features a 3MP rear camera with Flash, Front facing VGA shooter, dual SIM support, 512 MB internal storage, 32GB external storage and the Karbonn A1+ Super is loaded with a 1250 mAh battery.
Karbonn A5 Turbo: Key Specifications
On the other hand, the Karbonn A5 Turbo has a 3.5-inch HVGA Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. Other features of these smartphones include, FM Radio, 2G (EDGE) connectivity, Dual SIM support, 256MB RAM, expansion slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, G-Sensor and Proximity Sensor. But the battery capacity of the A5 Turbo is not available yet. It offers the best of features like Android 4.4 KitKat, 3G-network support, 3.0 MP camera and 32 GB expandable memory.
Commenting on the launch, Shashin Devsare, Executive Director of Karbonn said, "With consumer-centric activities being the fulcrum of operations at Karbonn, we understand the varied needs of consumers, and thus seek to capture this upcoming market with a range of smartphones that understand their focused needs."
