Karbonn A3, A4: Lava Iris 349, 355 Competitors Launched at Rs 3600 and Rs 4990

A fresh new week with numerous launches from Karbonn. The India based vendor has launched two entry-level dual SIM smartphones based on Android OS - A3 and A4 at Rs 3,600 and Rs 4,990 respectively. It is to be noted that a few days back, Karbonn launched Jelly Bean based Titanium S5 and entry-level A6 online.

With the number of launches made by Karbonn in the recent times it is clear that the company is on a launch spree and is aiming to attract the consumers with its budget friendly offerings. Talking about the latest smartphones, both A3 and A4 are budget smartphones with basic specs including Android Gingerbread and dual SIM support.

When it comes to Karbonn A4, the handset boasts a 4.0 inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 256MB RAM, 104MB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with micro SD card slot, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,400 mAh battery.

Karbonn A3 and Karbonn A4 are available on online retailer Flipkart at Rs 3,600 and Rs 4,990 respectively.

Competition Check

Analyzing the specifications and price of the new Karbonn smartphones, it is clear that the handsets are focused to compete with the newly launched Lava Iris smartphones - Iris 349 and Iris 355.

Lava launched three smartphones on Friday under its Blockbuster Phoneday launch scheme. The smartphones including Iris 349, Iris 355 and Iris 351 are budget oriented entry-level handsets priced below Rs 4,000.
