Karbonn A30 Dual SIM 5.9 Inch Android ICS Device Spotted Online at Rs 10,990: Top 3 Rivals

While big tech manufacturers including Samsung and Huawei are being rumored to launch 6 inch smartphones such as Galaxy Note 3 and Ascend Mate, India based Karbonn Mobiles has silently released an Android ICS based phablet with a massive 5.9 inch display dubbed as Karbonn A30 with dual SIM support.

 

Karbonn A30 is still awaiting its official release into the market, which is expected to happen on December 17, 2012, but, online retailer Saholic.com has listed the device with a price tag of Rs 10,990.

Given the price of the device, it can be compared with the upcoming gigantic offerings from Samsung and Huawei only in terms of its display size and real estate, but, it is sure that the Karbonn offering will not have a 1080p display.

As of now, Karbonn A30 is the only handset with such a massive display availabile in India, however, soon the consumers and tech experts might be able to witness a lot of devices with such large displays as the other companies start launching them in the next year.

Below are the specifications and a look at the top 3 budget phablet rivals that are available in India with 5 inch display and similar price point as Karbonn A30.

As far as specifications are concerned, Karbonn A30 phablet has a 5.9 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 1GHz processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, dual sim support, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and a 2,500 mAh battery. With dual SIM support and Android 4.0 ICS, the Karbonn phablet could be a classified as a rival to the other products including the ones mentioned in the next slides.

However, it is priced at Rs 10,990 and is awaiting its official release. May be the device could retail for the same specs and price, but there is no confirmation on the same from Karbonn Mobiles.
