Karbonn Launches A7+ Dual SIM Android Smartphone for Rs 6,990: Can it Compete with Micromax A87 Ninja 4?

Karbonn Mobiles, an India based handset manufacturer has silently launched the upgraded version of Karbonn A7, which was released a few months back dubbed as Karbonn A7+, a dual SIM Android smartphone. As of now the handset is available from online shopping sites including Infibeam, Flipkart, Saholic and others.

As it is an upgraded version of A7, there are a couple of enhancements in the A7+ such as a better processor and a new black color panel at the back.


Here are the detailed specifications of the dual SIM Karbonn A7+.

Display: The handset sports a 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

Processor: A7+ packs a powerful single-core 1GHz processor and a dedicated Adreno 200 GPU under its hood.

Operating System: Being a budget smartphone, the handset runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS, which is an older version of the platform.

Camera: On the camera front, A7+ sports a 5MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a front facing VGA camera for video calling.

Storage: A7+ is equipped with 512MB RAM, 157 internal memory and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB.

Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, A7+ comes packed with features likeWi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth v2.1, 3G with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and micro USB 2.0.

Battery: The handset is loaded with a 1,420 mAh Li-ion battery of undisclosed battery backup.

Other Features

Karbonn A7+ is also packed with many other features including G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, light Sensor, MMS, handwriting recognition and voice assisted GPS navigation.

Karbonn A7+ is available at a price of Rs 6,990 approximately from online shopping sites such as Flipkart, Infibeam, Saholic and Snapdeal.

Substitute to Micromax A87 Ninja 4?

Talking about Micromax A87 Ninja 4, a recently released dual SIM budget Android smartphone with a 4 inch capacitive touch screen display with a 800 × 480 pixel resolution, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, 2MP rear camera with fixed focus camera, external micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, 3G HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, GPS, micro USB, Bluetooth 2.1 and 1,400 mAh Li-ion battery.

Priced at Rs 5,999, the Micromax offering could be a stiff competitor to the latest Karbonn offering – A7+.
