Karbonnn Mobiles, a native manufacturer known for its range of Android smartphones and tablets, has come up with yet another massive Android device. Recently, the company forayed into the budget Jelly Bean market with the launch of Smart Titanium 1 smartphone.
Now, Karbonn seems to have come up with a phablet dubbed as Smart A111. The device has been spotted on online retailer Flipkart with a price tag of Rs 10,290. This time, it is not Jelly Bean but Android 4.0 ICS.
According to the listing, dual SIM Karbonn Smart A111 features a 5 inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display, which could either boast a with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels or 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2,100 mAh battery of unknown backup.
The listing also claims that the handset will be preloaded with apps including Skype, Google Talk, Google Play, Play Store, Facebook, Yahoo, NexGTv, PayTM, Google and WhatsApp.
Smart A111 - Spice Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 Rival?
Over the last week, another India based manufacturer Spice Mobiles, launched a phablet dubbed as Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530.
Detailing on specs, the phablet packs a 5.3 inch qHD IPS display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera for video calling, 16GB onboard storage, micro SD card slot for expandable memory support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 2,550 mAh battery.
Moreover, it has a plethora of software features including Pop-up play, Flip to Mute, Intelligent Answer, Direct Call, Gesture Screen Lock, Hi-Connect and Boot Acceleration, some of them are not even found in high-end features. On the pricing front, Spice has priced Mi-530 at Rs 13,999.
Analyzing the two handsets, Smart A111 costs lower than Spice Mi-530, however, the latter comes with some out of the box features including a 5MP rear camera.
