It has become a trend for India based vendors to launch their smartphones via online retailers before they could announce the retail availability. One such handset manufacturer Karbonn highly follows this technique to draw the attention of online shopping freaks.
With the widespread success of Micromax Canvas HD, Karbonn announced its first quad core handset - Titanium S1 in January and started accepting preorder for the same at Rs 10,990. Now, Karbonn seems to have launched the device as Snapdeal, a famous deals and online shopping site has listed Titanium S1 at a price of Rs 10,290.
At the same time, Snadeal has also listed another Android phablet from the house of the Indian manufacturer - Titanium S5 aka Smart Titanium 5. The new handset is priced at Rs 11,990 on the online retailer and features some interesting specifications.
Talking about specs, Titanium S1 features a 4.5 inch qHD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,600 mAh battery.
When it comes to S5 Titantium, the handset packs a 5 inch qHD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the internal storage support, but it is expected to be around 4GB as in other budget phablets.
Analyzing these specs, it can clearly be said that Titanium S5 is meant to offer a tough competition to Canvas HD with its quad core processor and Rs 11,990 price tag.
