It seems that the "Desi" devices are not only fighting the foreign brands but also competing with each other in the smartphone arena. Smartphones have already been overcrowded in the Indian market but when it comes to a budget friendly smartphones with premium features, it's not considered a competition but rather it is considered a check to the other high end handsets.
Similarly, Samsung has been in a constant check of India's very one Micromax and with the rumors prevailing in the tech world regarding the soon to come Canvas 4, it's created a storm of gossip. Micromax teased their Canvas 4 smartphone, which will go on pre-order from June 28 and will most likely have a full HD display.
Now the potent rival Karbonn has also announced its intentions to launch a new flagship with 1080p resolution. Strange at it may sound but most of the mobile phone manufacturers are focusing on getting the HD display to their new flagships and here Karbon has come up with the rumor with the similar intention.
Samsung may have to take this issue seriously now. The Indian domestic mobile phone manufacturers have an aggressive way of pricing their devices (the word aggressive here implies low) and in fact this is it threatens the other manufacturers.
Now reports suggest that the Karbonn Titanium S6 will be launched in the second week of July and more importantly it is estimated to carry the price tag of under Rs. 20,000. The S6 will ship with either of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 or 4.2 and will come with a stylus, like the Galaxy Note series. Instead of going for a MediaTek chip, Karbonn reportedly said the S6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. The device will probably come with a probably quad core processor and so far there's no mention of GPU.
As of now the display size has not been mentioned and other features of the upcoming Karbonn S6 Titanium is desperately awaited. Online reports have ssaid that the latest device with 1080p will be announced soon by second week of July. The price of the smartphone still remains to be very vaguely speculated but with regards to Karbonn's pricing paradigm, one can expect the device between Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 20,000. The same pricing may be followed for Micromax Canvas 4 as well.
However, here is a brief rundown on the specs of the rival Micromax Canvas 4: The Micromax Canvas 4 comes with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2.5MP front facing camera, 5.5 inch HD display, dual SIM and is said to run on latest Android 4.2.2 version Operating System. Previous rumors also suggested that the Micromax Canvas 4 would come with an eight-core processor just like Samsung Galaxy S4.
