Karbonn S1 Titanium: Micromax A116 Canvas HD Rival Debuts With Android 4.1 And Quad Core Processor
While global tech manufacturers including Samsung and Huawei are debuting their large screen handsets in India constantly, now the homegrown manufacturers are also prepping their premium devices to counter the likes of Galaxy Note 2 and Ascend G600. This can be said as recently Micromax launched its premium quad core Android 4.1 Jelly Bean 5inch phablet and now another leading phone maker in India, Karbonn has quietly outed the details of its next best gigantic handset offering, dubbed as Karbonn S1 Titanium.
The latest offering popped up on the official site of the Delhi-based tech vendor recently revealing the specifications, which includes 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, High QHD Multi Touch Capacitive Screen, 1600mAh, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n Support, 5MP Rear Camera with Auto Focus & Flash Light, Front Camera and 32 GB external memory card. While, the screen size of the handset is not disclosed by the manufacturer yet, however, one thing is clear, that Karbonn S1 Titanium will come packed with Dual SIM support.
Besides this, numerous reports have claimed in the past that the latest phablet from the house of Karbonn will get a price tag of Rs 12,999 and will be released in the market really soon.
So far, Karbonn was launching phablets with single and dual core processors and Android ICS platform. By launching Karbonn S1 Titanium quad core and Jelly Bean equipped phablet, the company has stepped into the highly competitive phablet arena, which is occupied by both local and global vendors including the leader of all Samsung Electronics and Micromax.
Taking about Micromax A116 Canvas HD, it has been announced running on the same Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Moreover, the phablet sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 X 720 pixels of resolution, 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor, a full gigabyte of RAM, an 8 megapixel main camera on back side, a front-facing VGA shooter, 4GB of internal memory storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB 2.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headset jack and 2,100mAh battery. Further, the handset is sure to be price at the same sub range of Rs 15,000.
