Many of you must be familiar with Chinese brands; ZTE, Lenovo and Huawei, but haven’t heard about this brand before – Konka. It’s a mobile manufacturer based out of China with five factories spread across the world. The company has been consistently ranked among the top five consumer electronics firm in China.
China’s leading manufacturer – Konka, is getting aggressive with its India plans. The firm has come up with first smartphone series called Expose’. The Konka Expose’ consists of two handsets: Expose’ 960 and Expose’970. Konka says their new Expose’ series is ideal for camera enthusiasts; can it beat Nokia Lumia 920? The Expose’ series aren’t available in the market. Our sources say that the handsets would be available soon.
“We have introduced Expose’ for those who are in the market for a superior camera experience. Expose' is designed to unleash the photographer in you. With the mobile consumers’ increasing preference for high-end handsets, we see a big opportunity in the high-end camera Phone segment in India.” said, Mr. Li Hongtao, Chairman of Konka Telecom
The Expose’ series from Chinese major Konka, has been targeted towards youth of today. The series houses an 8-mega pixel rear shooter and Android 4.0 ICS. The Expose’ 960 comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels , 512MB of RAM , 4GB of internal memory , 1GHz dual core processor , FM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , an 8-mega pixel rear camera and 2-mega pixel front facing camera, and 3D user interface. The handset is priced at around Rs.13, 999 in the market.
Konka Expose’ 970
The Konka Expose’970 comes with a bigger screen experience – 4.5-inch qHD display. The device comes with 1 GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 ICS, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi and 3D user interface. The Expose’ 970 will be out soon with an estimated price of Rs. 14,999.
Unfortunately, company’s official press release did not mention about so-called camera experience. As of now, nothing can be said about how the camera fitted inside the Expose’ series ousts other smartphones priced at this range.
At Rs.14, 000, without any doubt, many would like to prefer Micromax Canvas HD smartphone. It has better processing power and better display. Under Rs.15, 000, there are plenty of options to choose from like Intex Aqua Style among others.
