    It all started on January 8, when with the advent of CES 2013 in Las Vegas, India based mobile handset vendor Lava Mobile started teasing the visitors on its official Facebook page about the company's upcoming smartphone, which they quoted as "Your mobile experience is about to change with bigvantage."

    Moving on came yesterday, when Lava Mobiles commenced the countdown of the launch of their next best device, and finally today, that is January 11, the company has officially announced their first step into the Indian phablet market segment with the launch of their 5 inch handset - Lava Iris 501 - the company's first phablet with dual SIM support running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

    Above all the most attractive aspect of the newly launched handset is the pricing, as confirmed by the Lava spokesperson, Iris 501 will be available in the market at a price of around Rs 9,999. Well, this definitely seems to be quite a decent market price range as compared to other dual core phablets present in India right now, which generally fall in the sub Rs 12,000 range.     Price: As of now, there is no word regarding the price of Iris 501, but, it could be priced in the sub Rs 12,000 as per tech experts' estimation.

    Lava Iris 501 also comes with special built in apps like Hike; for free messaging, Saavn Music player app, Fusion Music organizer app and games from Gameloft like Asphalt HD.
