Lava has been making a remarkable progress in the Indian smartphone arena. To be very precise, the credit goes to the Iris Series which has rich collection of Lava devices. Thus adding more to the same line up, Lava has once again launched two more devices called Iris 505 and Iris 506Q in the same series. These devices are currently selling on online retailer Snapdeal at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 11,700 respectively. Lava Iris 504Q which is currently running in the market has been making a quite an impression among users. On the other hand, Lava is said to also launch another monster handset called Iris Pro in the coming months.
In the meantime, lets have a look at the specs of the two latest Lava handsets individually:
Lava Iris 505
The handset comes with a 5-inch capacitive touch screen display and offers a resolution of 854×480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Moving on to the camera, one can find a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera as well. The device comes with a regular connectivity options that features 3G (HSDPA up to 21 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS. Obviously, the handset comes with Dual SIM support with (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby. Iris 505 houses 4GB of internal memory (1.9GB user memory) which can be further expanded via microSD card slot that supports uo to 32GB. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and is priced at Rs. 8,999.
Lava Iris 506Q
The Iris 506Q has a 5-inch qHD capacitive touch screen display and offers a screen resolution of 960 × 540 pixels. This handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. When it comes to camera, the device features 5MP Auto Focus Rear Camera with LED flash along with 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps) , Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS which is similar to the Iris 505. This one also comes with Dual SIM support (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby. It houses 4GB internal memory (2.25GB of user memory) which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD and will be powered by a 2000 mAh battery. This one comes at the cost of Rs. 11,700.
Both Lava Iris 505 and Iris 506Q come in Black color option and like Iris 504Q these phones also feature Gesture Control. The differences between the two handsets are the processor and the screen resolution and other specs remain intact.
