Lava Iris Pro 20 Launched at Rs 13,999: Specs and Competition

One of the growing Indian smartphone vendors, Lava today launched its latest smartphone called the Iris Pro 20 at the price of Rs. 13,999. The smartphone is yet to go on sale. The smartphone falls in the company's rich Iris Pro series. But Lava has not only launched the Iris Pro 20 in the market but also has secretly listed three other devices on its official website. These devices come dubbed as Iris 406q, Iris 450 COLOUR and IvoryS tablet. However, we don't have the pricing of these devices as of now.

Lava Iris Pro 20 Launched at Rs 13,999: Specs and Competition

The Iris Pro 20 launched today, comes with a dual-SIM smartphone weighs a mere 112 grams, lighter than the Iris Pro 30, making it one of the lightest phones in India in 4.7-inch or more screen size category. It has a 7.7mm thickness courtesy its One Glass Solution (OGS) technology.

The smartpone features a 4.7-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS display. Similar to Iris Pro 30, the Iris Pro 20 is powered with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 4 GB of internal memory that is expandable upto 32 GB via MicroSD card.

It features a sharp 8MP Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash light and Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL) providing various modes such as HDR and Panorama. There is a front facing VGA shooter as well in the device. This dual SIM smartphone provides 3G, Wi-fi and Bluetooth support along with other connectivity features like OTG, USB tethering and EDGE.

The smartphone comes with a long lasting 2000 mAh battery. CABC power saving technology has been implemented in Iris Pro 20 as well for optimized power consumption. CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) technology enables it to last 30% more compared to conventional smartphone batteries.

Competition

The newly launched smartphone will directly compete with the currently best-selling handset, the Moto G in India. Apart from that Sony Xperia M will also be one of the most potential rival devices. Also smartphones from other domestic vendors like Micromax, Karbonn, iBall, Intex and others will compete with the recently launched Lava Iris Pro 20 smartphone. The newly launched Xolo Q1010i will also be against it.
