Android 5.0 Update: Lava Iris X1 Grand Finally Tastes The Lollipop

Indian smartphone manufacturer, Lava has rolled out the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 update for the Iris X1 Grand users. The users will get the update by both OTA (Over-the-Air) which is 514.71. Other wise you can go to Menu → Settings → About Phone → System updates. Before updating your phone, make sure, you have backed up all your content from the phone.

Lava Iris X1 Grand comes with 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. On the other hand, Lollipop update comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI, refreshing notification system. It will also allow the users to see the notification in the lock screen and they will get displayed like banners on the top of the screen.

Additionally, there is a do-not-disturb feature added to the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian -- which tracks the battery consumption by an application.
