Lava QPAD R704: 7-Inch Quad-Core Tablet Launched At Rs 8,499
Tablet demand has shown signs of fading of late, but that doesn't deter Lava to stop selling new tablets in the country. Lava on Tuesday launched a new tablet device called the QPAD R704.

The Lava QPAD R704 is geared towards young working professionals, students in professional courses and enterprise segment. The Android-based tablet will be available nationwide at a price of Rs. 8,499.
Lava claims the tablet packs in cutting edge technology with power packed features to meet all their computing requirements.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, clocked at 1.2GHz. The tablet offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. In terms of memory expansion, the tablet does support a microSD card slot.
Camera wise there is a 2MP rear camera and the front snapper is a 0.3MP unit. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be onboard the device out of the box, as expected. The product will be made available in two colors.
The QPAD R704 has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. The screen resolution isn't sharp enough on the basis of listed specifications.

The tablet also comes with with High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) which provides improved video quality support for higher resolution videos and Snapdragon Audio for rich 3D surround sound and excellent audio performance.
The budget tablet sports a 3,500 mAh battery which delivers up to 300 hours of standby time and 10 hours talk time. Notably, the Qualcomm Quick Charge technology further allows 30% faster charging on the device.
Other connectivity options are follows: 3G/2G (single SIM), Wi-Fi, Dual-SIM, Bluetooth and GPS, among others.
