Lava Xolo A500: 4-Inch Dual SIM Karbonn A9+ Android Competitor Launched at Rs 6,999
Lava Mobiles is an India based manufacturer, who carries the credit of being the first vendor to make an Intel based smartphoe - Xolo A900. Since quite some time, Lava is constantly launching smartphones into the Indian market in order to make its presence prominent.
A few days, Lava launched a phablet - Iris 501 and now, it has come up with a smartphone - Xolo A500. The latest offering of Lava is a dual SIM Android ICS smartphone priced at Rs 6,999 to make it reasonable in an arena filled with competitors.

Display: Xolo A500 flaunts a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
Processor: The dual SIM handset comes equipped with a 1GHz dual core processor under its hood.
Operating System: Likewise other budget offerings in the country, Xolo A500 is also flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Camera: The handset sports a 5MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling.
Storage: Xolo A500 is packed with 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage.

According to a Xolo Facebook page, Lava has priced Xolo A500 at Rs 6,999 and the handset is listed on Flipkart at the same price with out of stock status.
Lava Xolo A500 - Rival to Karbonn A9+?
Analyzing the specifications and price of Lava Xolo A500, it is clear that the handset falls in the entry-level smartphone segment. Recently, Karbonn Mobiles, which is also in a launch spree unveiled A9+, a dual SIM Android ICS smartphone in November 2012.
As far as specs are concerned, Karbonn A9+ packs a 4 inch multi-touch capacitive display with WVGA 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor, dedicated GPU, 5MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1.3MP camera for video calling, micro SD card slot for expandable storage support, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS with aGPS, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and 1,420 mAh Li-ion battery.
Priced at Rs 9,990, the Karbonn offering might be expensive as compared to Xolo A500, however, it comes with a faster processor and better front camera. Hence, it can be said that Karbonn A9+ could be a potential rival to the Lava offering
