Lava Iris 454 and Iris 502: Dual SIM Smartphone and Phablet Launched in India at Rs 8499

February is almost ending, which is obviously just the second month of 2013, but the Indian handset vendor Lava Mobile has already launched a bunch of more than 10 handsets in the market so far. Moreover, today the company released its latest offering in the online market, dubbed as Lava Iris 502 - the 5-inch Jelly Bean phablet.

 

Still, Lava is not done with the launches, as far as this week is conncerned. The freshest news which Gizbot brings to you is, the manufacturer has also launched a 4.5 inch Android ICS smartphone in the market today - Lava Iris 454.

 

As per the information provided by the company's spokesperson, Lava will continue launching one smartphone every week for next 2-3 months. Most of them would be successors of previous flagship models. Talking about the present launches, the company spokesperson revealed that Lava Iris 454 will be available in the market, starting today at a price of Rs 8499 and will hit the online market over the weekend or maximum by Monday.

Lava Iris 454 - Key Specs

Coming on to specs, Iris 454 boasts decent hardware and specs. It is a dual SIM handset with 4.5 inch IPS LCD Screen, along with a resolution of 540 x 960 Pixels. The newly launched TouchWiz smartphone houses an Android v4.0.4 OS and is powered 1 GHz Cortex A9 Dual Core processor.

Further, Lava Iris 454 is equipped with 8 Megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 4GB ROM, 512 MB RAM, 2GB internal memory, microSD, upto 32 GB expandable memory, Wi-fi Hotspot, 3G with Video calling support, HDMI, GPS Support, Bluetooth and Audio Jack 3.5 mm. The smartphone will further flaunt a dimension of 137x70x9.9 mm and a weight of 154.6grams (with battery). Talking about battery, Iris 454 is loaded with 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery, which the company claims will support talktime of 5 hrs and standby time of 280 hrs.

Adding on additional features will include, Predictive Text Input, Calendar, MMS Enabled, Alarm, Calculator, Call Barring, Call Waiting, Offline Mode, Sound Recorder, Flash Light and the smartphone will also come preloaded with apps like Fusion, Agnipath, Ninja Rush, Saavn, Saving Private Sheep, Little G.One Adventure and Hike.

Lava Iris 502 - Key Specs

Moving ahead, the company's cheapest Android phablet so far - Lava Iris 502 has also been released in the market today, which the spokesperson informed will be officially launched next week by Lava. The successor handset of Iris 501 is available on Indian online retailer websites including Saholic and Flipkart at Rs 8499 only.

Specwise, the dual SIM phablet will come packed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1 GHz Processor, 5.0-inchcapacitive touch screen display accompanied by 480 x 800 pixels. Futher, the phablet rival to Micromax A116 Canvas HD will also house a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 0.3MP front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory along with microSD memory expansion support up to 32GB, 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps; HSUPA 5.76Mbps),WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

Meanwhile, all this will be run by a battery support of 2300 mAh battery, which the company claims will also bear up to 9 hours talk time and approximately 400 hours standby time.
