The demand for mid range handsets continues to grow exponentially in India. Hence, many Chinese players , such as Lenovo, Gionee and Oppo, are trying to test their luck in this growing segment.

China's Lenovo, best known for affordable yet feature rich handsets, has introduced the latest S-series smartphone into Indian market.

Lenovo S860 is a mid-range handset that promises a long battery life and supreme performance, all under Rs. 25,000 price segment.

Meet the Lenovo S860, the latest sensational phone that will bound to give tough competition to the likes of HTC Desire 816, Gionee Elife S5.5 and the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.

Priced at Rs. 21,499, the Lenovo S860 features a massive 4,000mAh battery fitted inside. The device is currently available for pre-order through the company's official e-store from today and will go on sale on May 3.

The biggest highlight of the S860 is its long battery life: a powerful 4000mAh battery, which Lenovo claims to run 24 hours on a single charge. The battery can also charge other devices via the USB port.

On the specs front, the Lenovo S860 incorporates a 5.3-inch IPS display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

On the imaging side, there's an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.6MP front-facing shoot. The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box ( to be updated to Android 4.4 Kitkat).

The handset cannot be expanded via a microSD card slot, so you have to rely on the fixed 16GB of ROM. Other connectivity options include: Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, aGPS and more.
