The LG A 290 mobile phone can support triple sim cards. This is a cheap cellphone and falls into the category of multimedia phones. This mobile phone is feature filled to the core and is sure to take you to a different level altogether.

Today dual SIM mobile phones are becoming very common. This trend was brought into the mobile phone market by Chinese mobile phone manufacturers and it quickly caught up with other companies. Some of the major players like Samsung have also started introducing their own series of dual phones recently.

In this scenario LG has went one step further and has recently announced a triple SIM mobile phone.

This is a phone announced for Russian market alone as of now. But still the features of the phone are worth noting. This can be considered as one of the very first phone from a major player in the mobile phone segment to come out with a triple SIM feature. When we consider markets like China these types of phones are common but most of them are from local manufacturers.

The new model from LG is termed as LG A290. When you are a world traveler or if you want to use different SIM’s simultaneously for your purpose, then this is the apt device for you. It will be launched in Russia in the month of February itself.  The phone has a very simple design to it. It comes in elegant dual tone colour scheme and has an alphanumeric keypad in the front. The back panel has a brushed aluminium look and this increases the over all appeal of the phone.

From the pictures available the phone seems to be quite compact and small. And from its size we can assume that it is light weight too. Not much specs of this device is know, but being a feature phone it will be having a moderate amount of specs and features. There is a 1.3 mega pixel camera at the back and a min USB port is also provided at its side. That is as much spec information as for now.

The news is that this phone is going to put some serious pressure on Nokia’s Russian market share. Nokia has a huge line up of dual SIM mobile phones in Russia and with the advent of this device Nokia is in for some serious competition. Critics have also mentioned that the new LG phone looks a lot like Nokia’s dual SIM devices.

The price tag of LG A290 in India is not known as for now. But since it is a feature phone and is intended at the budget phone segment, the price can be expected to be affordable.
