LG A190, Low Cost Handset From LG Launched
LG A190 is basically a bar phone in its design and also light weight, weighing just 72 grams. The dimension of A190 is 106.5 X 45 X 13.75 mm, that makes this new LG mobile phone suitable for easy portability. The power unit of the handset is managed by a Li ion 950m Ah battery giving an undisrupted talk time. The model supports GSM bands 900/ 1800 MHz. The phone display is a 1.52 inch screen with 65K TFT.
LG A190 does not have a camera being a low priced handset and including the option would have given the manufacturers a hard time deciding a cheap price for the new mobile phone. The model at present is just 2G compatible. 3G services in India are still at its infant stage, with the option still confined within the heavily priced smart phones. So, the absence of 3G probably won"t have any adverse effect on the demand rate of LG A190 in India.
The device also lacks other features like an infrared data transfer port, and definitely the Bluetooth utility. Thus the connectivity option in this new LG mobile handset is a thumps down, but it"s still a superior performance basic phone with all the default features of a basic mobile handset. But the phone does have a GPRS connectivity through which the internet can be accessed via the LG PC suite installed in your personal computer and thus enabling net surfing with the phone. An EDGE support utility is missing in the phone and of course a Wi-Fi isn"t anywhere near.
The handset is meant for the average class customers in India and with low price tags the phone is made affordable to everyone. To put it in a nut shell, the only feature that would be highlighted before the customer gazing at LG A190 will be the extra battery life, that is sure to give its owner, an extra long talk time.
