New LG G2 Smartphone Hands On Review: First Look
To unlock/lock the G2, you all need to do double tap on the screen, and the device will wake up. Another double -tab on the screen will put the phone back to sleep mode. We also liked the newly -introduced Guest mode. You can set the Guest mode, to insure that the phone is now safe. But we're still not convinced with the security of the device.

The LG G2 comes with a 13-mega pixel rear facing camera with in-built Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). LG claim that it's the first 13MP smartphone with such novel feature. There is no dedicated camera key, traditionally found in the camera centric phones. The volume key placed below the camera lens doubles as the camera key.

We found this technique annoying and uncomfortable to use. The 13MP camera does have all the main features you always wanted in a camera phone. We tried to test the camera for a brief period of time. We found that camera to be above average. We're waiting to test the camera in the coming days.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. On the top of the Android Jelly Bean OS, LG has used UX interface. The user interface learns from your action and executes things accordingly. LG G2 supports gesture based functions, which you have already witnessed many a times in the past. QuickMemo, QuickSlide and QRemote are some of the features indigenous to LG G2.
LG G2 supports studio quality sound, supporting 24-bit, 192 kHz Hi-Fi playback. We only managed to test the video quality, and the sound popping from the speakers was pretty decent.

The LG G2 is an advance smartphone, just like any other high-end device. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of ROM. You are not allowed to expand the internal memory via a microSD card slot.
The makers have fitted a 3,000mAh Li Ion battery, enough to handle long lasting multimedia use.

Overall, the G2 is a fantastic option but we need to say that there are other options available in the market having similar pricing and beefy internals too. For instance, the Sony Xperia Z1 is now available at Rs 41,000 on Snapdeal and Infibeam. It has better build quality and of course mind blowing camera. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
