LG G2 Lite and L Prime Smartphones Revealed

LG G2 Lite - Highlighted Specifications

The LG G2 Lite looks similar to the original L2 Mini, but doesn't boast superior specs. It has an average 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, paired with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot.

The phone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). In the camera department, there's an 8MP rear-camera and a VGA quality front-facing shooter.

The G2 Lite sports a 1,820mAh battery, and comes in White, Black and Gold color options. Connectivity isn't an issue. It has quad-band 2G and 3G connectivity, plus Wi-Fi and FM radio.

The handset also features enhanced software features, including Knock Code and Quick Selfie.

LG L Prime: Highlighted Specifications

The L Prime is slightly better in terms of specs and features. It has a relatively bigger 5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage and a microSD card slot.

Other hardware specs include: an 8MP rear-facing camera; 1.3MP front-facing shooter; 2,600mAh battery; Android 4.4; Wi-Fi; 3G; 2G; FM Radio.

After years of struggle, LG is now in a better position compared to its key arch rivals, thanks to the success of the LG G2, followed by the L3 flagship smartphones.

While we appreciate LG's commendable efforts to secure its leadership position in the premium segment, however, the same cannot be said about the company's performance in the low-end market.

With newly launched Android-based phones, LG now has a better chance to strengthen its position in the emerging markets with these two above mentioned handsets.
