LG G2 Starts Receiving Android Kitkat 4.4.2 Update in India

LG is yet to launch its 4G LTE variant of the LG G2 smartphone in India and while the wait for the device continues, the 3G Variant of the G2 in India has started receiving the latest Android KitKat 4.4.2 update. Internationally, the update began rolling out last week. In fact even Canadian LG G2 users have started receiving the update

In terms of the improvements that the update brings in the phone, now the LG G2 users who have updated their devices will get to see a new battery-saving location mode, speed improvements for 17% percent faster performance compared to Jelly Bean, Google Cloud Print and lots more new features.

The update which weighs 534.84MB is now available over-the-air (OTA). You can also get the update via the LG PC Suite. If you have not received it yet, try it manually.

The Android 4.4.2 update for the LG G2 brings, improved user interface. The latest version of Android includes enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars. Moreover, a new full-screen mode, improved closed captioning support, and stronger security is also a the part of the new features.

Other improvements include an improved battery efficiency. Now you can play music more efficiently on your G2 and also features an extending battery life.

The latest version of Android also brings a remarkable speed boost and web-browsing speed is improved with the Chromium engine. Moreover, LG's latest enhanced "Knock On" feature has also been tweaked.
