LG listened to your voice, and finally presented its next-big thing in the form of G2. Yes, the world's first handset with negligible physical button was announced just a short while ago in New York City. For LG, the G2 is critical considering the phone is in direct competition to Samsung's Galaxy S4 and Apple iPhone 5. Moreover, LG's G2 has become the world's first smartphone that would be widely available with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. More than 130 carriers worldwide came in to support LG G2 smartphone.

It's LG's first smartphone without Optimus branding. Clearly, the makers are aiming to position G2 in the envy league category. LG says the G2 listen to you and behave accordingly. The device has five breakthrough features, which actually makes the G2 special and expressive too.

The unique thing about LG G2 is its breakthrough design, and the company's says they have tried to solve the problem of holding a phone faced by millions of users on a daily basis. The G2 is a button less handset with just one single power button placed at the rear back beneath camera module. Another important highlight of the phone is that LG specifically talked during the presentation was "Pure Sound ". LG says the G2 excel's in delivering in pure sound, just like profession sound. Is LG targeting HTC because the HTC One features sound technology powered by Beats? HTC One is known for its BoomSound speakers.

"We have always listened to and learned from consumers in pursuit of innovation. We took these insights to new heights in developing LG G2, the most exciting and ambitious mobile phone in our company's history."

The LG G2 features most high-end specifications which you may like to see in your phone. The device packs a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS Super LCD2 display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 443 ppi. Inside comes a 2.26GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. There's a 13-mega pixel rear facing camera sensor covered with scratch less material for protection. Also add a 2.1-mega pixel front facing camera. The main highlight of the rear camera is the coming of Optical image stabilization (OIS) feature with Auto Focus and LED Flashlight. The phone is ultra-slim at 8.99 mm thick. The device supports 4G LTE-Advanced connectivity. The IR Blaster is an addition (Remember HTC One ?). The makers have added a 3000mAh Li Ion battery.

Well, LG is not alone who has come up with a high-end smartphone. To give LG a good competition is none other than Samsung, who already selling millions of Galaxy S4 every month. The Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED FHD display, but the processor is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Rumors say to answer LG G2; the South Korean giant is already prepping to announce an upgraded version of Galaxy S4 with same chipset used in G2. The reveal is expected to be made at IFA Berlin. Even Sony Xperia Z Ultra, which was launched in India, comes with same chipset. In the coming says Lenovo and many more players are coming with heavy-duty smartphones with rearing features.

Before the release, it was rumored that LG G2 would feature some kind of fingerprint sensor. Now the final device is in front of us without so-called "iPhone 5S like security feature ".

LG G2 is finally here in front of everyone. Surely the phone is expensive in terms of its internal specifications and design, but it is a long road ahead in front of LG to become the next Samsung or Apple. The gesture features have seen many times before. Even Micromax Canvas 4 has such features at a lesser price. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S4 packs similar styled specs and build quality. LG kept on saying during the presentation that the G2 is an extension of your personality. LG hasn't talked about Indian release of G2. However, the device could land in the Indian market sometime October with an estimated price tag of Rs. 40,000.

The LG G2 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD FHD display. LG says the display technology used by them is far superior than Super AMOLED FHD display (in context to Galaxy S4). The screen panel looks absolutely perfect under direct sunlight. The company has managed to reduce panel's energy needs by a whopping 26 %. The G2 features edge-to-edge display. The phone flaunts slim bezels giving neat look. LG G2 offers superior graphics, accurate colors and clear images without any distortion.

Here is the smartphone without physical buttons on the front. You heard it right. There's a power button at the rear back between volume keys. The phone is ultra slim at 8.9mm. LG says "The unique Rear Key concept came from the realization when studying users that the larger the phone became, the more difficult it was to properly access the side keys. Moving the main buttons to the back of the phone gave users more control since this place was where individuals' index fingers are naturally located". User can open camera app or QuickMemo, just by long-pressing on the rear back volume keys. The G2 can be placed somewhere between Nexus 4 and LG Optimus G Pro.

The way our eyes react to a situation, in the same way LG G2's 13MP camera also works just like human eyes. The camera features advanced OIS (Optical image stabilization) feature, which actually reduce the blur by a disturbing movement. The camera lens is covered with anti-fingerprint coating. Apple iPhone 5 camera lens is also made of sapphire lens. The camera is naturally capable of recording videos in 1080p Full HD resolution. Moreover, the G2 has become the first 13MP phone with OIS feature.
