Premium smartphone makers, all around the planet, make a point and keep updating the smartphone market with new smartphones every now and then. And the list keeps growing with more and more new makers coming into the scene.

Smartphones differ in all shapes and sorts. Even the specs and features inside a phone keep differing per maker. While some focus on the rear camera, other look to offer the fastest processors in the market.

There are, in fact, a host of smartphone manufacturers to choose from in recent times. There are big names such as Samsung and Sony in the market, which are currently holding the primary position. But others such as Micromax and Karbonn are also trying to make a name for themselves.

Now two smartphones that are looking to make a name for themselves in the upcoming months are the new G3 handset from LG and the Oppo-made Find 7.

While LG is looking to grow similarly like what Samsung has did, Oppo comes as yet another Chinese maker that wants the brand to go big in a market such as India. And needless to say, the fight will be fierce.

Not much to choose from in this respect since both the devices come running on the Google-based Android operating system. However, the LG G3 has the upper hand since it runs on the Android KitKat operating system, as opposed to Oppo Find 7's Jelly Bean offering.

The Oppo Find 7, on the other hand, sports a similar 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, while rendering 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 152.6 x 75 x 9.2 mm, while it weighs in at 171g.

The LG G3 sports a 13-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels, with autofocus and dual-LED flash. The device also has a secondary 2.1-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.

The Oppo Find 7, in terms of camera, offers a similar 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI sensor, alongside autofocus and dual-LED flash. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel 80 degree wide angle sensor camera at the front for all your selfie needs.

Both the devices, as expected from new age smartphones, offer decent enough engines to support all your day to day needs.

While the Oppo Find 7 is equipped with a 2.5 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, its LG counterpart powers up the G3 via a somewhat similar Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor.

The LG G3 offers 2GB of RAM while offering the device in 16 GB internal memory variant. Also, the device's memory can be further extended upto 128 GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory is also present.

The Oppo Find 7, in this respect, offers 3GB of RAM with the devcie arriving in an 32GB internal memory variant. Also, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 128 GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory has been provided.

While the LG-made G3 offers a 3000mAh battery unit, the Oppo device comes juiced via a same 3000mAh offering.

While we wait for the price of the LG G3 to go official in India (that's due via a Kuly 21 event), the Oppo Find 7 is also facing a similar kind of situation.

As you may see, both the devices are quite similar to each other in almost all possible ways. Both have a great hardware offering in terms of processing power, battery and more. So there's not much left in between that can help us bring out a winner.

However, going by the fact that the new Android KitKat is the flavor of the season, it has to be said that the LG G3 takes the cake since it offers the new OS straight out of the box. And since we aren't sure if the Oppo handset will receive the Android KitKat update, we have to give the cake to G3
