You might wonder why LG G Flex smartphone is highly talked about. Mainly because, the handset's body is flexible and also has 'self healing capability.' Also, the LG G Flex boasts new user experience (UX) features that take advantage of the curved form factor.

LG G Flex - Price And Availability

As informed at the press event, the worlds first flexible smartphone will start selling in India starting February, 2014. The consumers can expect the smartphone somewhere between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 65,000, which is super pricey, of course.

LG G Flex - Key Specs

LG G Flex uses 6-inch 720p display (245 ppi pixel density) flexible P-OLED screen technology to allow for a dramatic curve on the horizontal axis, is between 7.9 and 8.7mm thick at various points. Powering the device is a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also uses a premium 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash while the 2.1MP front facing snapper will take care of the video calling function and taking selfies. Connectivity features include, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The smartphone that measures 160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9 - 8.7mm and weighs 177g draws its energy from a 3,500 mAh battery.

LG OLED Curved TV

At the same time, LG has also launched curved TV range in India with model name 55EA9800, the curved TV from LG features a huge 55-inch OLED screen and thickness of just 4.3mm. The curved TV is priced at Rs. 9,99,000.

Indian customers should also know that the LG G Flex is not the only device that comes with a curved display because Samsung has also released its Galaxy Round handset which implies the same innovation. Talking about TV, Sony and Samsung has also got their similar television. However, their sizes vary to massive extent resulting in the major differences in the price as well.

In the meanwhile, its worth mentioning some of the drawbacks of the LG G Flex. As such there are not many but since it will be coming in premium category, one will inevitably look for high end specs. LG gives it all but fails to offer a Full HD display. It also comes with a lesser pixel density compared to the rival Galaxy Round. Although it comes with 32 GB internal storage, it would have been better if it came with microSD card slot as well. If compared to Galaxy Round it looses with its 2GB RAM as well, HD display and slightly lesser processor clock. However, the LG G flex wins the Galaxy Round with its 3500 mAh battery.
