LG Megalondon Could be Nexus 5 Smartphone [Report]

|

LG must be proud with its acclaimed Nexus 4 device. Even now, it’s difficult to find one from Google Play store. Surely, the South Korean giant must be prepping a sequel to the LG made Nexus 4 device. The device which sells for around Rs.16, 500 in the US market (unlocked) has been seen as a true competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5. Last week, Samsung has announced the coming of mighty Galaxy S4 in a event held at New York. So, it is believable to some extent that Google along with LG would like to write success story once again with Nexus 5.

LG Megalondon Could be Nexus 5 Smartphone [Report]

Yes! You heard it right. As buzzed by Androidandme, the device which is currently known by the name of “LG Megalodon” , could arrive later this year. As per the site this juicy information was shared by one of the folks over at Google. The alleged image shown is rather a prototype device. It is said that Google is currently in an advanced stage to finalize true Nexus 5 device. Last year LG was selected to sell Nexus 4 device and this time it could be some another major player.

The LG Nexus 5 device is said to have a 5.2-inch FHD OLED display , 2.3-GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM , LTE , HSPA +, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage and 3,300mAh battery. The camera fitted inside the device would be able to record videos (16MP camera?) in 4K format at 30fps and 1080p HD videos at 60fps. Going by the above mentioned specs, it would be safe to say that the device could blow the Samsung Galaxy S4 like anything.

Right now, an average high-end device these days come with 2GB of RAM ducked inside. So, in the later this year, one could expect 3GB RAM to be a natural progression. Sony, is also said to be working on a smartphone with 6.0-inch of display coupled with 3GB of RAM. When it comes to 4K technology, there are currently number of service providers and hardware manufacturers ready to invest their resources. But, it advisable to take this information as a pinch of salt. Neither LG nor Google, has come out in open to say anything related to LG” Megalondon”. If the device is real then you could see the official unveiling at Google I/O 2013. Logically, the unveiling could be delayed due to the fact that Google’s very own Motorola is about to come up with Motorola X, at the same event. Stay tuned to GizBot.
