LG Optimus Black & LG Optimus Net: A Comparison
The main focus of LG, as with every other handset manufacturer in India is of course the lucrative Smartphone market. This section has in the recent past outshone the budget sector in terms of total revenue collected by companies from both the sections.
Today we take a look into two of LG"s Smartphones of which one is an entry level Smartphone christened LG Optimus Net that has just been announced and the other is LG Optimus Black which is currently doing good sales in India and globally.
LG Optimus Net being an entry level Smartphone has a smaller 3.4 inches full touch screen based display in comparison to the large 4.0 inch full capacitive touch screen display of LG Optimus Black.
Both the phones offer good quality cameras but LG Optimus Black has a more powerful 5 mega pixel rear camera in comparison to the small 3.2 Mega Pixel camera of the Optimus Net. LG Optimus Black also has a front 2 Mega Pixel camera for video chatting whereas LG Optimus Net does not have a front camera. Both the phones offer video recording but LG Optimus Black offers high definition 720p video recording in comparison to the VGA recording capability of LG Optimus Net.
On the entertainment and multimedia support section both the phones offer similar features. They both support audio and video playback in a number of well known formats and that includes high definition 720p video format. The phones have an FM radio with RDS and a 3.5 mm universal audio jack in common. The phones offer good internal storage besides offering up to 32 GB of expandable memory via a Micro SD expansion slot.
LG Optimus Net and LG Optimus Black have all sorts of data transfer and modern network support like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth USB PC sync, GPRS, EDGE and high speed 3G. But LG Optimus Black offers higher data transfer speeds of up to 10 Mbps compared to the 3 Mbps of LG Optimus Net.
Optimus Black is priced at Rs 18600 whereas the price of Optimus Net is not yet announced but is expected to cost around Rs 12000.
Thus both the models are good choices in their respective segments.
