LG Beefs Up Optimus Series With Black & Pro
The company has erstwhile a big presence in the Indian handset market and has produced some of the finest mass market phones in India. They have a considerably large dealership and service network spread across several towns and cities. They hope to reach out to more people in the near future and consolidate a position in the market for themselves.
The company has in its arsenal a wide range of phones in all segments and today considering 2 new smartphones for comparison. One is the already popular LG Optimus Black and the other is the upcoming LG Optimus Pro.
Both the phones are feature rich and affordable in the sense they are Smartphones and also taking into account the long list of features that they offer.
The LG Optimus Pro is a touch and type phone that features a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen based display screen in addition to a physical QWERTY keypad whereas the LG Optimus Black is a full touch screen phone that has a large 4.0 inch capacitive touch screen based display interface. On the looks department the Black is slightly more pleasing to look at as it offers a smoother view than the rugged look of the Pro.
The phones are equipped with good quality cameras but the LG Optimus Black scores in this area as well. It is loaded with a rear 5 Mega Pixel camera that offers superb image clarity in comparison to the 3.0 Mega Pixel rated camera of the other. Both the cameras offer video recording but the Black offers high definition 720p video recording in comparison to the VGA recording of the Pro.
Both the models provide playback and support for a wide variety of media formats in both audio and video category. They have support for file formats like MP3, MP4, WAV, WMV and much more and even provide support for h263 and h264 high definition formats.
The phones are equipped with all the latest communications and network technologies like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE and GPRS. However the LG Optimus Pro misses out on video calling because of the lack of a front camera.
The LG Optimus Black is available for Rs 18000 in the Indian market and the LG Optimus Pro is expected to cost around Rs 13000. So both deals are good taking into account the features they provide. So a clear winner in this competition is difficult to choose.
