LG Optimus G Pro Smartphone Starts Receiving Android KitKat Update in India
Among all the smartphone makers who are rolling out Android KitKat updates to their latest phones, LG was one which was missing out of the league. Anyways, finally, the Samsung's native rival LG has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Optimus G Pro E988 smartphone. The best part is that it has already landed in India and the update is also live in other Asian countries like Indonesia. The Optimus G Pro smartphone is currently running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

If you own Optimus G Pro smartphone, you might want to check for the update if you have not received the same. You will receive the 684MB update via over-the-air (OTA). To manually check for the update, go to Settings > About phone > Software update.
However, LG has not revealed the official changelog of the update but you can expect to see the advent of the immersive mode, cloud-print support, user-interface improvements, updated Hangouts app, new downloads app, restyled status and navigation bars, stronger security, and battery life improvements and more in the phone.
Also LG Brazil has said that the KitKat update for Optimus G smartphone will also be arriving in August-end, which is about two months away.
LG Optimus G Pro: Key Specs
The Optimus G Pro comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD card) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 3140mAh battery. The Phablet comes with a 13MP rear shooter capable of shooting video in 1080p HD format. The company says that they have used curved glass in order to give 2.5D effect. It uses a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro Quad core processor.
