LG, made mullah by bring its Nexus 4 into the market late last year. The Google -LG collaboration became hit, and one could see them again with the upcoming Nexus 5 / Nexus 4 4G LTE. This is not the end to the story, as the South Korean wants to replicate the Uber cool design once again. The Nexus 4 inspired Optimus G2 will get clearance on May 30 at Macau, Hong Kong. It is a sequel to highly praised LG Optimus G, which went on sale late last year.
Twitter sensation @evleaks leaked an alleged image of the handset few days back. Now another image has arrived on web, and this time it is much more detailed. The front panel can be clearly visible. It is very much like the Nexus 4 with bezel -less design. The photo caption reads on the Twitter "Thin-bezeled LG, redux." It could be follow up of Optimus G, which is known so far. Some tech writers apparently pointed that if this is the next-gen Optimus G then the Nexus 5 should like be like this with minor tweaks.
Earlier this year LG's Won Kim accepted that the company would make the next-generation Optimus G2 official sometime Q3 2013. Going by Mr. Kim words, and the recent invite - it clearly signals that the above mentioned alleged image leak is of the LG Optimus G 2.
The Optimus G 2 will arrive with a vibrant 5-inch display with Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 4G LTE, 2GB of RAM, a 13-mega pixel rear facing camera, and a powerful battery inside.
The main highlight of the device could be its bright IPS screen, and Nexus 4 inspired design.
It certainly looks like LG is making the next-generation Optimus G 2 official a little early than expected, just to tackle hype surrounding Samsung's Galaxy S4, which is selling like hot cakes in the International market. Stay tuned to GizBot.
