LG Optimus L4 2: Low Cost Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Handset Launched in Single and Dual SIM Variant
The South Korean giant LG has come with a brand new phone called Optimus L42. It's a low cost Android handset with no frills attached. The Optimus L4 2comes packed with a 3.8-inch display IPS display with resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The phone is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
As of now, the device is coming to Russia and Ukraine only (via Unwired View). LG is facing stiff competition from another South Korean player - Samsung. Last year, LG announced two premium devices in the market. Both Nexus 4 and the Optimus G were critically appreciated.

This year, LG once again tried to hit Samsung by launching Optimus G Pro. The tech vendor also refreshed its low-to-mid end Android lineup with the coming of Optimus L7 2, Optimus L9 2, Optimus L3 2 , and the Optimus L5 2.
The LG Optimus L4 2 is an entry level handset. It has a 3.8-inch HVGA display with resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. In the era of quad-core phones, LG has gone for 1GHz MediaTek processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. There's a 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. The manufacturer has added a 3MP rear facing camera, but there is front facing camera for long video chat.
On the front panel, you will get to see an LED indicator for notifications. The phone weighs 125 grams and flaunts a 1,700mAh Li Ion battery. In the name of connectivity, standard options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth are said to be there. The handset is priced at Rs.9,895 in the International market.
There is no word whether the above mentioned device is coming to India or not. But one thing is clear the LG Optimus L4 2 is targeted at emerging markets. So, sooner or later LG has to announce the phone in the Indian market. LG has to fight tough with Samsung's Galaxy Star. Both handsets have similar looking internal specifications.
