New LG Optimus Univa First Look

The specifications of all of LG's upcoming Android handsets this year seems to be coming out much earlier than the company could possibly make a statement about them. These Android Smartphones are expected to turn the tide for LG which is now facing a slight drop in sales because of stiff competition especially in the Asian markets where the likes of Nokia and Samsung are considerably lowering sales of LG Phones and that too Android powered Smartphones.

Today we take a look at one of the upcoming handsets from LG which is pegged to be under the Optimus Series and the model is christened by LG as LG Optimus Univa.

LG Optimus Univa will have a large 3.5 inch display screen that will provide a good visual experience thanks to the user friendly Android Gingerbread OS running in the device. It has good icons and menu tabs which are all laid out in a good way so as to make it very convenient for users to navigate through the menus and pages.

This new LG Optimus mobile phone has a lot of modern day facilities available in it as it carries support for many multimedia formats in both audio and video categories. This new LG mobile phone offers recording and playback of music and video clips in a wide variety of formats like MP3, MP4, WMV, WAV, AAC+ and even high definition h263 and h264 video formats. This new LG mobile phone comes in with a built in FM Radio with RDS and also has a universal 3.5 mm audio jack for external audio device connectivity i.e. either multimedia speakers or the bundled headsets.

On the camera and video recording section LG Optimus Univa offers a 5 Mega Pixel camera that has capability for video recording but we do not know at the moment whether it supports high definition video recording in 720p format. It lacks a front camera and hence does not facilitate video calling.

This new LG Optimus mobile phone has good internal memory and has an external memory expansion of up to 32 GB via a Micro SD expansion memory slot.

LG Optimus Univa has Bluetooth and USB PC connectivity and also comes equipped with 3G and Wi-Fi for high speed internet access wherever you go besides offering 2G technologies such as GPRS and EDGE. The device has a built in GPS module with AGPS for navigation purposes.
