LG teases out new Optimus series smartphone

Teasers are the latest marketing tactics. Just show a part or a simple spec of the product that is going to be launched and let the expectation and speculations build up. By doing so the product will get word of mouth publicity and this will aid in the sales of the product when it is launched finally. Many companies have tried this tactic and have found them to be highly successful.

The latest teaser comes from none other than LG. LG has posted a teaser in the company’s Facebook page. The problem is that with the very minute of details they have posted the users cannot be even sure what type of device they are hiding. It could be a new smart phone or any other device in the LG line up. LG does not give any clue as on what it is. The only information revealed is that the product has something to do with the letter L.

The post they have made shows a sort of 3D depiction of the letter L in a patterned background. A wave like flowing pattern is provided at the back. Four tag lines are placed at different orientations around this letter. The tag lines say genuinely compassionate, esteemed value, perfection with details and timeless fulfilment. In all the tag lines the letter “L’ is in capitals.

The wildest guess that we can make is that LG would be launching a smart phone soon that can be branded as the model L. Sometimes it can be a phone in the LG Optimus series and it can be named like LG Optimus L. This is a probable case if we consider the naming patterns adopted earlier by LG. There has been single letter naming before also like LG Optimus S, LG Optimus M and LG Optimus L. But don’t keep your hopes high because it could end up as simply being a line up of microwaves or refrigerators as well.

The users won’t have to wait long for the mystery of the letter L to unfold. The posts clearly states that the mystery of the letter L will be revealed.
