LG Optimus G Worldwide Roll Out to Kick Off By January End: India Launch Also On Cards
The Optimus G, LG's one of the most acclaimed 4G LTE smartphones of 2012 will begin its global roll-out into over 50 countries this month. The Optimus G has already been launched in the United States, Canada, Korea and Japan and has got rave reviews till now, however, now the South Korean manufacturer is aiming to build on the excitement already generated to launch the device in other LTE markets across the globe.
Since the launch of Optimus G last September, the smartphone has been enthusiastically received by audiences as one of the most advanced 4G LTE devices currently available.
Talking about specifications, The LG heavyweight handset includes 4.7 inch IPS display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad core processor along with mammoth 2GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera. Other features included are Bluetooth4.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Android 4.0.4 ICS OS and a 2,100 mAh Li-Po battery.
"LG's long history of LTE know-how is evident in the DNA of the Optimus G," said Dr. Park. "As such, we hope consumers will take a deep, hard look at Optimus G when deciding which smartphone will give them the best 4G experience."
The Optimus G will be available starting at the end of January in Singapore followed by other markets worldwide offering 4G LTE service. Gizbot has also got to know from an inside sources, that India launch plans are also included in the LG events sheet. Further, numerous reports are also indicating that the Optimus G will hit Indian boundaries around the second or the third week of February 2013.
