Lumia 720T Surfaces Online: Chinese Version of WP8 Handset to Come with TD-SCDMA Support

There were reports saying Finish-handset makers Nokia, would be releasing its' new mid-range smartphone, Lumia 720, in China, soon. A China-exclusive version of the handset, with support for China Mobile's own TD-SCDMA technology, is said to be made available in the country, soon.

Lumia 720T Surfaces Online: To Come With TD-SCDMA Support

Dubbed as Lumia 720T, the smartphone as been given a green light by the Chinese authorities. Therefore, it shouldn't be long before the devices hit the stands. However, there is no information on the cost of the handset.

Apart from the TD-SCDMA support, Lumia 720T does not vary, specification wise from the international version.

The smartphone which runs on Windows Phone 8 packs a 4.3-inch Clear Black display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM , 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, 6.7MP rear shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, 1.3MP front camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. Whether the handset will be available in the same colour variants as the international version is unknown, yet. (Blue, Red, White, Yellow and Black)

Nokia Lumia 520 is also expected to be released in China, soon. Lets have a look at the smartphone's specifications.

The handset packs a 4-inch WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core processor, 512MB RAM, 5MP rear camera, 8GB internal memory, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, Windows Phone 8 OS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,430 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, Lumia 720 is also expected to be released soon in India.The handset is said to be priced at Rs 18000. The Lumia 520 has already been released in India at Rs 10,499. For more information on deals click here
