Not long ago, we reported that the Lumia Cyan with Windows Phone 8.1 Update was being released worldwide. Well, now it seems like the wait is over for those of you who are proud owners of a Nokia Lumia 1520.

The Lumia Cyan upgrade, the software update that brings the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system to the owners of Nokia handsets out there, has now been officially pushed out for the Lumia 1520 smartphone.

Lumia Cyan with Windows Phone 8.1 Now Released for Nokia Lumia 1520

The original Cyan update officially started to roll out to users last week. However, for the time being, only the owners of unlocked Nokia Lumia 925 and Lumia 625 devices were able to get in on their devices.

However, Microsoft has now started pushing out the new firmware release to carrier-branded smartphones accordingly. Accordingly, the update has already added the Lumia 1520 to the range of devices currently receiving the new update.

"It is bit surprising to see such staggered approach to the update. Post Lumia 625 and Lumia 925, which received Lumia Cyan en masse, we have seen Lumia 520 on Orange France getting the update, while it is under testing for Lumia 520 elsewhere," Nokiapoweruser states.

But with the update final for the handset, expect the new firmware release to arrive with a host of enhancements inside. The list includes the likes of camera improvements, updated apps, more effective business tools, Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 sound (for Lumia 1520), and more.
