Maxx Mobile Unveils 26 New Feature and Android Budget Smartphones in India
India-based domestic vendor Maxx Mobile, which is primarily known for churning low-cost phones, has launched 26 new phones in India. The new range is priced between Rs. 1,100 and Rs. 7,777, which itself denotes that the phones are targeted at mass consumer market like India.
The newly launched Maxx handsets comprise of 19 feature phones and 7 smartphones. The company hasn't given any specific details related to its new lineup, except model names, and highlighted specs.
Unlike other domestic vendors, which are primarily focusing on promoting Android-based smartphones, Maxx, on the other hand, aims to capture feature phones. All 19 feature phones come with dual-SIM capability, long lasting battery life, up to 8GB of expandable storage, and enhanced security features. The models launched in the feature segment are MX180, MX422, MX187, MX12, MX444, MX105, MX125, MX553, MX472, MX168, MX467, MX445, MX11, MX103, MX254, MX255, MX433, MX442 and MT352.

Beyond feature phones, Maxx does offer Google-powered affordable smartphones, but there's hardly anything new about them. The seven Android-based phones launched by Maxx have more-or-less standard features, notably, either Gingerbread or Jelly Bean OS, 2MP rear-facing camera with an LED Flash and up to 1600mAh battery. The models launched in Android segment are AX44, AX 45, AX5i, MSD7 Smarty II, AX06, AX409 and AX04.
"We are pleased to announce the launch of 26 models on this occasion of great national importance. We had launched 15 models on 15 Aug 2013 and now are launching 26 models on 26 Jan offering the consumer freedom to choose his handset. With this our total new handsets launched during FY 2013-2014 till date is 105, of which 75 are Feature Phones, 28 are Android Phones and 2 are tablets" , said, Ajjay Agarwal, CMD & Founder, Maxx Mobile.
