Chinese consumer electronics company - Meizu Technology has, today, officially announced its most anticipated smartphone - the MX4 after a plethora of leaks and condescending rumors.

The device that has been proclaimed to be one of the beastly device in terms of power and processor will come in Gray, White and Gold color variants. Moreover, even in the grounds of photography, the phone is potential enough to take on the best camera-centric smartphone in the market. Apart from that, the company claims that it has used aircraft grade aluminum-magnesium alloy to build the phone.

However, in the initial phase, the handset will only be released in the Chinese smartphone market at the price at 1799 CYN (approx. Rs. 17,720), 1999 CYN (approx. Rs. 19,690) and 2399 CYN (approx. Rs. 23,640) for the aforementioned three variants respectively. The pre-booking of the devices start today itself and it would go on sale in China on September 20th.

Meizu MX4: Key Specifications

The Meizu MX4 comes with a 5.36-inch IPS display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1152 pixels and churns out the pixel density of 418ppi. The display has 85% increase in NTSC color gamut, 1100:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of up to 600 nit.

It is powered by an Octa-Core (2.2 GHz ARM Cortex A17 x4+ 1.7GHz ARM Cortex A7 x4) MediaTek MT6595 processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU. Complementing the CPU would be the 2GB DDR3 RAM. As far as the OS is concerned, the latest smartphone would run the Flyme 4.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Even the imaging aspect of the phone has been given a heavy nurturing as it features 20.7 MP rear camera with dual tone LED Flash, Sony IMX 220 Exmor RS BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 4K video recording, 720p slow motion. At the front, users will find a 2.1MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture value.

Internal storage capacity seats at 16/32/64GB internal memory. The company has not revealed whether it will support microSD card slot or not.

In the connectivity front: 4G LTE (TD-LTE / LTE-FDD), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS / GLONASS can be found. The latest Meizu MX4 which measures 8.9 mm thick and weighs 147grams, draws its energy from a 3100mAh removable battery.

Looking at the specs of the Meizu MX4, you can easily say that its a flagship category device and is capable of building a potential threat against the flagship devices from top-tier manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony and even Nokia for that matter.
